COVID-19 REOPENING OF OUR SCHOOL

Our visions for 2020 certainly didn’t include a worldwide pandemic, and there have been many surreal moments where we wanted to press PAUSE and REPLAY from the start. But as our country moved to Level 4 restrictions, we began to plan the reopening of our school as soon as permitted. After much preparatory work behind the scenes, and then the practical implementation of our plans, we were able to accept our pupils back on 1st June 2020.

We had a slow but really good start, with daily attendance increasing week by week. It has been truly remarkable to see how well our pupils have adjusted to the many new and unusual expectations and restrictions that we have had to introduce. While it is our duty to provide a safe and healthy environment for our pupils, we believe that is essential that they continue to feel loved, accepted, stimulated and happy. “Putting your students emotional needs first is important because without feeling safe and understood, no instructional strategy will be effective.” Jasper Fox, Sr

Thanks to our wonderful team at Cornerstone, our children are happy and thriving.
